The M Performance sports brakes provide with their larger, internally ventilated, perforated and grooved be lightweight brake discs for more braking under extreme conditions. It also offers a unique combination of design, installation space integration and interaction with control and driver assistance systems.

• The 4-piston fixed calipers on the front axle are made of aluminum and have a weight-optimized design. The electronic parking brake is integrated into the 1-piston floating callipers on the rear axle. For an exclusive look, the brake callipers are painted in M ​​Performance Red and printed with a four-color BMW M logo. The weight-optimized, perforated lightweight brake discs are made in several parts from a gray cast iron friction ring and a riveted aluminum pot.
